For me this piece is an expression of the forces that shape our world.Its tough and hard, twisted and beautiful at the same time.It was difficult to shape and was chaotic in its transformation.I let the metal show me what it wanted to do.Reminds me of the primordial beginnings of our world.Evokes molten worlds, deep hidden treasures and the stress of an ordered world constantly trying to destroy itself.It is made of solid slate, reclaimed barn oak, copper sheet and foil, bronze and steel.
